This young producers energy whilst performing is magnetic; the word has spread fast and Mimosa has recently shared the stage with the likes Benga, Skream, Rusko, Datsik, Glitch Mob, Pretty Lights, Bassnectar and Flying Lotus, playing shows across the US and festivals like Coachella, Symbiosis Gathering, Burning Man and Decibel Festival and of course, gracing the stage at the now-legendary Low End Theory in Los Angeles. Since his debut last year Mimosa has made his mark on the west coast sound and has become one of the Bay Area music scenes hottest exports. Highly sought after for his production efforts, now also producing with Sleepyhead as Sexytime and with Marine Parades’ hot new artists Panty Raid, made up of Marty Party and Glitch Mob member, Ooah.  The Mimosa vs Panty Raid collaborative track ‘Chaos Control’ was also recently featured on Mary Anne Hobbs BBC radio show.

‘Flux For Life’ displays Mimosa’s ‘hard and pretty’ touch, with etheric pads accompanying tough and edgy basslines and melodic synth leads.
All this is set to steady and raging dubstep beats that are dancefloor tested and certified for peak time enjoyment.

Mimosa takes listeners on a journey through warm rhythmic sound-scapes, with melodies and vocal samples smoothly crafted to help navigate the sonic terrain. Using basslines inspired by hip-hop classics like Too Short and Dr Dre, combined with deep psychedelic textures reminiscent of the downtempo and midtempo output by Tipper and Bluetech, Mimosa blends the range of styles to create his own fresh take on the west coast sound.

Mimosa’s debut EP release, Hostilis, presents tracks with heavy-hitting low frequencies, sexy grooves, and uplifting dub infusions, floating between instrumental Hip Hop and Dubstep.
The Hostilis EP also features prolific MC Souleye from Colorado known for his extensive touring with jam bands like BLVD and STS9 and the track ‘Framboise’ features beautiful vocal textures provided by Canadian artist Sasha [Butterfly] Rose.
