HNGVR is a fast rising star currently based in San Francisco, but from and frequently visiting his homeland in Sardinia, Italy. Since his move out west, HNGVR has been evolving his sound incorporating some of the urban swag of the San Francisco Bay Area.
4th. Ave Sessions brings that urban vibe and maintains HNGVR’s melodic and playful blend of Footwork and Halftime Drum & Bass and experimental beats. The EP launches with the a halftime Drum & Bass and gritty baselines of ‘Get Along’ , moves on to a fresh take on some fully Oldskool UK Garage / Drum & Bass vibes with ‘Jump’, and the bounce get’s even more contagious with the sweet and melodic ‘Ready’. The EP then closes out with ‘Superstar MF Girl’, a tune that is made for the Bay Area and has been hitting hard for HNGVR at shows this spring.
HNGVR made his debut on Muti Music in 2015 with his first releases also featuring tunes that we licensed for use on Canadian TV (CBS) and also for use by SubPac. He followed it up with a release on Elastica Records, with tunes that were then also licensed to a host of Italian labels like Faders United, Music Fit Kriterium, Bud Step Economy and Mama Productions.
HNGVR (pronounced "hangover") is a young producer from Sardinia (Italy) with a varied musical background. He loves beats at 87 BPM and he also has an obsession for perfect geometrical structures, this results in complex polyrhythmic drum patterns in his music.
