Every so often an experienced artist sees a piece of themselves in something new and successfully reinvents themselves with dramatic effect. Durty Larry (formerly Exzakt) is one such artists with a decade of success producing classic electro bass music including collaborating with pioneers of the sound like Anthony Rother. His new moniker has also led to him working with some new partners in crime, namely Massive GIANT and LowFreq, who help bring the hot and sticky heat that South-East USA is known for. Bad Behaviour is made for it’s namesake, it is a straight up bass assault on the senses, at times reminiscent of fellow Florida native Diplo in it’s beat friendliness and the ease that it brings a party vibe. The EP is full of bounce and twerk, musical beats for the club with a few twisted electro-bass influences thrown in for good measure. If you thought things were cooling down for the winter, you’re mistaken, on Bad Behavior, Durty Larry, Massive GIANT and Lowfreq are letting us know that in Florida it stays hot.
