Heyoka’s signature sounds of dubbed out, glitchy bass tracks and instrumental Hip Hop are ever present on ‘Marklar’ only this time they’re accented with crunchy dance beats and even venture into Drum & Bass and Electro Bass arenas. Heyoka made his brand international this year playing festivals in Australia, Canada and being ever present at US club nights & festivals. His early influences in Downtempo, Dub and IDM combined with more recent mid-tempo dancefloor genres have helped create a very unique sound that combines relentless basslines, hip hop and dub rhythms with a lot of musicality and melody. The continual evolution of Heyoka’s productions and his ability to continue to sound uniquely ‘Heyoka’ is evidence that the road for this young producer is going to be a long and prosperous one.

No stranger to urban beats ‘Bassobese’ is new on to the Muti Music roster, but has been making waves in the Pacific Northwest for quite some time. His mashup mixtape,’$hitting In The Mainstream’ was one of the mixes fueling midtempo crunk and mashup scene with it’s audacious take on contemporary Hip Hop culture,  Bassobese is now releasing an all original composition album to the greater public.
After six years of producing Hip-Hop and performing alongside acts such as KRS-One, The Wailers, Living Legends, J-Live, The Coup, Blackalicious, Heiroglyphics, and touring with artists such as Rahzel and Andre Nickatina, Bassobese has shifted frequencies, focusing instead on making music to melt the listener’s minds, while simultaneously providing the bass to shake the club.
Bassobese has crafted a unique sound that may very well be a breath of fresh air to those tired of the monotones of both the Dubstep and Hip-Hop scene. His latest album, 49 Nights Of Twilight is a psychedelic collage of samples from old vinyl seamlessly blended with cutting-edge textures and booming bass. Since their debut on Muti Music, KETHER has toured the US west coast and dominated the Los Angeles underground warehouse and art music scenes.
Their gigs have included rocking the Do Lab stage at Coachella, playing alongside Tipper and Shpongle and lead time slots at Norcal festivals like Stilldream and Priceless.

An-ten-nae has long been a purveyor of fine exotic beats and low slung crunk.
Acid Crunk Vol 2 started off as a free mixtape that has now been downloaded over 37,000 times. Now, what is Acid Crunk?
It’s a no rules genre bending booty shakin’ synthesis of the dirty dirty that makes that subs in your low rider bump; and it sure goes nicely with that Ice Cream paint job. In the words of Martin Turenne (Straight.com) Acid Crunk “Conjures the druggy textures of early house and  the fearsome bass of millennial hip-hop, marrying the West Coast breaks sound with the brooding atmospheres of London’s dubstep scene.”

Acid Crunk Vol. 2 kicks off with An-ten-nae’s own low frequency taser, Bang That, he locks in the dance floor with a deep electro groove and then fires up on all cylinders with a flick of the switch. Next up is Ooah (Glitch Mob & PANTyRAiD) From it’s lush start to its acid tinged convulsing basslines, ‘Foolish Silence’ has devastated every dance floor it’s been dropped on and his live performances have induced pandemonium across the globe,  Most recently he appeared on the soundtrack of Tim Burton’s masterpiece film ‘9’. Datsik has virtually dominated the Beatport dubstep charts for months, and here again proves why he is a new standard in audio excellence. With ‘Southpaw’, Datsik delivers the goods. The other half of PANTyRAiD (aka Marty Party) turns Acid Crunk on its head
with a jackknife of a bass-driven track. Following the current success of the PANTyRAiD album The Sauce, (Marine Parade) Marty ‘s forthcoming album, on the same label, due in January 2010.
From ‘Down Under’, our Australian agent in crunk, Opiou, adds a little funk with his crunk ‘King Prawn’. Look out for his forthcoming EP on Addictech Recordings.
Akira Kiteshi has earned support across the board from the likes of Mixmaster Mike, N-type to Mary Anne Hobbs, with ‘Ulysses’, this Scotland native delivers his own nasty brand of alien funk infused dubstep from the 31st century.
Head south to Bristol and you’ll find Gemmy, one leg of the ‘Purple Trinity’  (with Joker and Guido) His newest offering ‘Bleep’ is some Bristol / Brizzle Bass Crunk guaranteed to turn those head nodders into instant body rockers. An-ten-nae returns with a remix of ‘Do You’ by UK supergroup Freeland (feat. Adam Freeland & Tommy Lee on Drums), he dissects the track into a heaving acid tinged monster sure to make all the ladies squeal.
The next 3 tracks showcase emerging talent from the US and Canada. Apox who hails from Nevada, Colorodo’s own Samples and Ill-Esha & Dewey DB (Vancouver) throwing down tasteful and versatile tracks from the ‘Glitch Hop’ school of crunk.
Collaborations often bring out the best in artists, and ‘Pharma Sutra’ is a testament to that and this off beat slammer by Filastine (Barcelona) and Ill.Gates  (Toronto) will make your jaws drop.  Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Chillout maestro Bluetech helps bring things down a bit, journeying into thedeeper shades of crunk with ‘Waiting For Initiation’.Finally, no global journey into emerging electronic genres should be complete without a stop to Berlin,so we leave you with Robot Koch and his off-kilter beauty of a track ‘Hard to Fin’, off his upcoming album Deathstar Droid.

Symbiosis Gathering in it’s 5th year has become a unique festival in Yosemite California featuring leading artists in a broad range of music styles including House, Electro, Dubstep, Breakbeat to Jamtronica and performance art groups like The Yard Dogs, artist Andrew Jones visual art project called, Phadroid and live painting by Alex Grey.

This new EP is once again a combination of midtempo / Bigbeats and uptempo Breakbeats, Tarot is more for peak time moments, while the midtempo funk of the other tracks provides plenty to dance to and once again MC Nibu os featured on vocal duties.

Great Scott is the host of “MK Ultra,” on KTRU in Houston, is a regular on NSB Radio, has also been a resident DJ in China and was one of the NuSkoolBreaks radio DJs at WMC 2009. Recently Scott also founded and launched a new online radio show, Glitch. FM, which has fast become the centerpiece radio station for the emerging genres of wonky, glitch hop, lazer bass, turbo crunk, acid crunk and whatever else you’d like to call the new edgy instrumental hip hop and breakbeat scenes. Strongly inspired by the sounds of old-school big beat and breaks, including the likes of Fluke, The Prodigy, and Rabbit In The Moon, Scott is constantly attempting to fuse the sounds of the old with that of the new, while trying to achieve a delicate balance between producing music that’s meant to make people move, with that which inflicts various emotions and imagery.
