‘Jingletown’ is a name given to a ghetto neighborhood on the south side of Oakland where cultures collide. Home to some of the best Burritos in the Bay Area, some of the most hyped of the Hyphe Hip Hop scene and some scary street sideshows.
Both successful and starving artists live there for the cheaper large work spaces, musicians like it because they get away with noise at all hours and the rest is wreaths on the sidewalk from a recent drive by or some other gang related violence.
On ‘Jingletown’ , Siren delves into the sound and energy of the neighborhood.
The ecstatic enjoyment of good tunes in a lowrider on the sunny day, is ‘Summertime In Oakland’, the edginess of hitting those same streets at night is reflected on the tracks ‘Law & Disorder’ and ‘Negative Ion’, ‘Stunna’ is hitting the happening club or underground warehouse party and then escaping it all as you wizz away on the freeway are the sounds of ‘Burst’.
Since his debut on Muti Music last year, Siren took the US west coast by storm. He was quickly signed to an agency alongside the likes of Kraddy, Mimosa, RD and Marty Party and began his career as a touring DJ & producer.
Some recent highlights include playing to thousands of fans on the Do Lab Stage at Coachella this year and headlining at Beta in Denver.

We’re very happy to re-introduce an artist who was our debut release back in 2002 and went on to become quite a name in Breakbeat, releasing on Bedrock Breaks, Air Dog, Sponge Recordings amongst others and also remixing ‘My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult’ for release on Red Ant  & Studio !K7.
Kemek has since dropped ‘The Dope Computer’ part of his name and re-surfaced from stays in Japan (with a few gigs alongside the likes of Hyper) and ongoing battles with tinnitus. Now his musical journey continues with a deconstructionist look at Dubstep on the appropriately named EP ‘Sine Language’.
It is evident on the EP that Kemek has maintained his sensibility for urban music and strong roots dating back to classic rave music of the nineties, when he composed for Silent Recordings as 303 Terrorist. His evolution as a producer is evident as he allows space for sounds and grooves to evolve from simple beginnings and the results are very effective.
