Taal Mala (lighta! sound/SUB-OSC) - Vancouver, BC  is emerging as one of the major forces of bass from the Canadian Dubstep movement and we’re stoked to say we have a remix from him out on a promo run right now on Muti Music. We employed his services to do a remix of ill.gates & Meesha’s track ‘Sweatshop’ released now as a Sampler of what is to come on the forthcoming album ‘Autopirate’ by ill.gates.

Killing sound since ‘97,  Taal Mala is tearing up the dancefloors and doin’ it to ya in the earhole with warbling sub frequencies that have been known to merk an internal organ or two.
His music encompasses a mashup of dubstep, dancehall, ragga jungle, and techno with throbbing basslines, glitched out ragga vibes, turntablism, and complex riddim changes that will warp your perception of dancefloor music.
As a member of the SUB-OSC and Lighta! soundsystems, Taal Mala has buried an excess of tin pan soundboys alongside The Bug, Kode9, Loefah, Rusko, Benga, Skream, Hatcha, Youngsta, Martyn…etc.  Keep your eyes open for more from Taal Mala on “lighta!” and “SUB-OSC” releases in 2009.
