Suff-xSuff-x (aka Bryce Elder), For over 10 years now, Suff-x AKA Bryce Elder has sought to push the boundaries of breakbeats in the Pacific Northwest. Unlike most DJ acts, he’s got quite a different setup… He comes to a show armed with a virtual armada of gear, blinky lights, and X/Y controller pads. He juggles tracks, effects, broken tidbits, squiggly snippits, and boogie-down basslines off of his dual samplers set up in battle-style fashion, giving a nod to his turntablist counterparts–the majority of which wouldn’t keep up versus a “scratch mode” session on his korg kaoss mixer! Watch and learn, this is how “live pa” is done!
Suff-x has past releases on Urban Renewal Records, “They Are What They Are EP” - 2001, So Broken Recordings “Dirty Trick EP” - 2005 and more recently on Muti Music, “CyberFreq & Electro Medicine EP” - 2006

Dov

Growing up in Cape Town South Africa, inspired by radio, an early interest in electronics and a Casio keyboard, Dov’s involvement in music creation and production can also be traced back to the days playing with a reel to reel tape recorder and then picking up guitar in his teens.By the time he headed to University he was involved in radio show production and DJing and always had a latest mix-tape. Apartheid era South Africa enforced a draft policy and while serving in the military Dov used soccer and performing as a rhythm guitarist in the ‘minister’s’ band as a means for avoiding other activities.
He left South Africa in 1992 and the influences he encountered ‘on the road’ would forever change the way he understood and utilized music. Based in San Francisco since 1994 Dov has been instrumental in the growth of dance culture in the Bay Area by producing multiple events, festivals, gatherings, importing and exporting music, working in music distribution, club manager / booker, working as a magazine website content developer, music reviewer, and serving as a label solicitor for major digital retailers in 1998 and an A & R rep and music buyer. Dov coordinated and booked the ‘conference / panel’ side of the first Summer Music Conference in San Francisco. He assisted in the development of multiple underground labels in the past 10 years and finally formed his own label Muti Music in January 2002 and build and managed music and media label, Cyberset since 2004. DanMangan

Bio: Late in 1995, Dan Mangan was in High School doing work experience at a local record distributor, Mushroom Distribution Services. A steady career in I.T was on the cards until one day Frank G, the man that Dan blames for everything ever since, handed him a pile of records and asked him if he had turntables. ‘No’ was Dan’s response. ‘Get some’ was Frank’s. Simple really…
Six years later, and due to having played a five-hour DJ set at an after-party with Triple J’s Sharif Galal present, Dan found himself being “unearthed” as part of the national broadcaster’s “Melbourne Unearthed.” His first ever club set was broadcast live from Revolver Nightclub in Prahran, Melbourne to half a million Australian listeners on Saturday night’s Mix Up show. The crowd reaction in the club was so good that Dan’s still convinced the dance floor consisted mainly of paid extras… Continue reading Artists - Dan Mangan…
